Sally Clark, Ph.D.
I believe we are all doing the best we can, even if it feels like we are barely surviving. I trust we can develop the capacity to thrive, and to move toward connection with ourselves and others. I am convinced that having a therapist who has specialized skills, objectivity, and who keeps confidentiality, is a valuable resource who can help us with profound change.
We may have endured hardships, traumas and environmental failures only to find that the very skills we needed to survive are now keeping us disconnected from our authentic selves, our joy, and our lifeforce. We may have trouble with relationships, depression, anxiety, and anger. We may feel we are frauds and that if people knew us they would not like us. We may compare our internal experience to others’ external behaviors and find ourselves lacking.
These beliefs have led me on a multi-year training and personal journey to help people who have had shock trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and complex trauma. Specifically, I have studied Somatic Experiencing and the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). My private practice is in Worthington, Ohio, where I see people in person and via telehealth. I have a psychobiological focus, with both a somatic and depth psychology approach. My clients are encouraged to explore what they want for themselves, and what may be getting in the way of them reaching their heart’s desire. My clients and I work as a team for their benefit. I trust that all of us, no matter how damaged we feel, have the ability to heal and thrive when offered a supportive and compassionate place to explore our lives, our symptoms and ourselves.
